I thought i should celebrate 100,000 unique visitors with something out of my "Stupid rare" pile. This Privately pressed LP by Canadian Conrad Benjamin is true rarity and is highly saught after by dj's and collectors alike. its so rare infact that one guy paid over $500 for a heavily warped copy. crazy. With classy production and some beautiful instrumentation it remains one of my favorite pieces of Modern soul.

Well, I have a mp3 rip of the album. Great modern soul, I can understand why it goes for big money. B.t.w. I would love to hear the Brief Encounter 1970 lp, you don´t happen to have that one? A request ... :_) I am very curious because of the killer modern soul song "Human"...

ive got the japanese issue of the brief encounter "with sweet soul music" from 88. ive never come across the 1970 here in the uk unfortunately (its vary rare)! i think its been posted by chris rich and nia stats over at blog called throwback music. unfortunately they wont share as their blog is private.
Ahh, no they won't share it, I already asked. And i respect that. However, I hope it will get reissued, if it is a real killer album it will get reissued sooner or later. A perfect example is the killer modern soul song Mixed Feelings - Sha la la... Now everyone can get it. I have a rip of the japanese version of the album you mention. Thanks anyway! Just my thoughts on Nia Stats and Chris-Rich. They are willing to let you in in one of their Throwback sites IF you pay them $20 dollars each month - they use this to buy old vinyl. However, as one member noticed that they rip the vinyl, and then put it up for sale again, he meekly wondered what happens to all the proceeds - well the answer came quickly - he got booted out from the site. No refund, baby... so, my thoughts on the cultish "Throwback Family" (as they keep calling themselves): complete tossers!
