Purple Image S/T 1970

Ex members of The Tradewinds Vincent Poncia and Pete Anders came together to form the Map City label, and this 1970 Fuzz/wah wah classic is one of it's highligts.Unfortunatly Purple Image only managed this one release .... which is a shame as i really love the psych funk stylings and excellent artwork. Buy the re press here or get digging for the og here

...man does this ever sound good...psychedelic funk is a sound that just doesn't get old or stale...when you've got a funky bottom going on and you add wah wah or fuzz guitar on top it's like ice cream on pie...add some soulful vocals to that and you've got the Purple Image...a sound that just connects...nice..

This guy is a master of the wah wah pedal, I wonder why they got disbanded after the second disc.
